虽然AMD长期以来作为“电老虎”,并且有外媒报道AMD Radeon Vega
Frontier显卡功耗爆表作为预防针,我们还是不太敢相信,AMD打磨多时的Vega架构显卡,居然在功耗控制上依然没有长足的进步。
我们测试的是AMD Radeon Vega Frontier风冷版,工作在Radeon Pro Mode(AMD专业显卡模式),3DMark
FireStrike下运行频率在1440-1528MHz之间,达不到标称峰值1600MHz。待机状态是由功耗测试软件引导显卡进入待机模式,满载状态下是使用3DMark
FireStrike压力测试,这是经过我们长期测试下来得出的结论,3DMark
FireStrike压力测试最能体现出显卡的功耗表现,而且场景易于重复。至于测试工具,只要熟悉超能网显卡评测的网友们都知道,我们自行研发出一套精确度非常高的显卡功耗测试仪器,可以分别单独测试出显卡的PCI-E功耗、每一个外接供电接口功耗,以便查看是否超标取电问题。

myChart.setOption(option);待机功耗上,12相豪华供电的AMD Radeon Vega Frontier显卡有20W表现丝毫不出奇,毕竟更多的电子元器件在待机时就得浪费更多电。
满载功耗上,这一看到功耗曲线波动非常大,在前期维持一个比较高的平均功耗,峰值功耗已经飙到了410W。但是40秒以后,功耗就开始变得十分波动,在155-330W之间不停跳动,总体平均功耗也有269W。这个问题有点奇怪,由于GPU-Z
2.2.0采集不到Vega显卡温度数据,但推测前期较高的平均功耗是前期能维持一个较高的核心运行频率,之后由于功耗或者温度问题触发了BIOS的强制降频,功耗才会如此波动。
由于我们看到AMD Radeon Vega
Frontier显卡时不时功耗就能触及330W水平线,就调出PCI-E、双8Pin外接供电取电数据。定睛一看,居然双8Pin有小幅度超标取电问题,根据电源供电规范,8Pin接口最大供电是150W(并不是说电源线不能超过150W,因为18AWG线最大供电瓦数是12V/16A/192W)。

其实AMD Radeon Vega Frontier显卡居然跑不满预估的300W功耗,着实令人诧异,有利于怀疑偏向游戏的3DMark测试不能压榨出AMD
Radeon Vega Frontier显卡潜力,另外AMD Radeon Vega
